The REACCH project was initiated in 2011 to ensure sustainable cereal production in the inland Pacific Northwest. The project was led by an interdisciplinary team of scientists and other professionals from three land grant institutions and the USDA Agricultural Research Service, with funding from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s Climate Variability and Change Program.

Data: REACCHPNA Crops - CROilWilke 2012-2014

Cropping systems intensification in the intermediate rainfall zone may allow for the elimination of the fallow period. This study used multiple 3-year and 4-year rotations to evaluate the effectiveness of annual cropping, and diversifying rotations with oilseed crops (spring canola and camelina). Data includes pre and post season soil analyses, and crop harvest data.
