The REACCH project was initiated in 2011 to ensure sustainable cereal production in the inland Pacific Northwest. The project was led by an interdisciplinary team of scientists and other professionals from three land grant institutions and the USDA Agricultural Research Service, with funding from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s Climate Variability and Change Program.

Data: REACCHPNA Crops - Root Architecture Modifications Due to Urea Fertilizer Banding

The images collected here are images from a rhizotron study conducted in Pullman, WA. The study looks at comparing the fertilizer toxicity zones and symptoms caused by banding urea below canola seed. Images were set to be collected every 4 hours and at a resolution of 4800 dpi. Special attention was given to the root thickness, color, and lateral branching.
